Community Invited to Prescott Airport Runway Extension Open House

Area residents are invited to learn about the proposed extension of Prescott Regional Airport’s primary runway, 21L/3R, at either of two Open Houses on Monday, May 23 or Wednesday, May 25. There is no formal program, rather attendees can stop by at any time during the two-hour window. The purpose of these open houses is to detail the benefits of a runway extension and allow attendees, at their leisure, to view a series of posters and speak with planners and airport personnel.

WHAT:  Proposed extension of primary runway 21L/3R at Prescott Regional Airport

WHEN:  Monday, May 23, 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., or Wednesday, May 25, 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m., Prescott Regional Airport Terminal, 6600 Airport Avenue, Prescott, AZ 86301

WHY: Transparency and community feedback

HOW:  A series of informational posters will be on display and staff will be on hand to take public comments and answer questions.

  1. Awesome news! Need to also widen and resurface the smaller parallel runway for general aviation use.

  2. Please consider adding a direct flight to SNA Orange County as I know you will have a lot of interest and fill the planes.
    Recent transplants from Southern California and Super commuters Fire and Police will appreciate this addition.
