UPDATED Friday, February 22, 2019 at 0645 am

Airport staff continued to work through the night and made significant progress clearing the runway and taxiways as snow continued to fall. At this time it looks favorable for the Airport to re-open by early afternoon and Flight 5159 (Denver to Prescott) and Flight 5160 (Prescott to Los Angeles) to still operate as scheduled. Although the runway and taxiway have been plowed, we will be continuing to monitor for ice conditions present. As with any weather event, conditions can change so please monitor your flight status on United’s website at www.united.com , on the United App, or by calling Reservations at 1-800-864-8331.

Also, please be aware that although the access roads into the airport and parking lot have been plowed for a drivable lane, many spots in the parking lot still contain a significant amount of snow and may be difficult to park at the Airport to pick up and drop off passengers. Airport staff is working to help establish transportation options for those to get to/from the airport. Information will be provided when available.

If you must drive, please use extreme caution.

Due to continued snowfall this morning, United Express has cancelled Flight 5159 (Denver to Prescott) and Flight 5160 (Prescott-Los Angeles) for Thursday, February 21, 2019. Flight 5161 (Los Angeles-Prescott) has also been cancelled for February 21, 2019 and Flight 5158 (Prescott-Denver) on February 22, 2019. We will keep you posted with future flight updates.

Airport staff has been working throughout last night and early this morning and will continue to work throughout the day and night plowing the runways and taxiways to mitigate operational impact.

Please contact United Airlines on their website at www.united.com or call Reservations at 1-800-864-8331 to discuss alternate travel options. In addition, United is still offering the flexible travel waiver if you are currently scheduled on any flight IN or OUT of Prescott Regional Airport until Friday, February 22, 2019 to make alternate arrangements. Please make sure to advise you are impacted by weather in PRC when calling reservations.

Please continue to be safe if you must leave and allow extra time as needed.
